Thorma Horby

The Thorma HÖRBY is a small, double-skinned fireplace stove that can generate up to 7 kW of heat when burning dry wood at a rate of 2.4 kg per hour. It has a 30 x 30 cm window and can heat a space of up to 165 m3 with a flue connection of up to 150 mm. The stove is made of heat-resistant sheet metal and features a cast iron grate and ashtray. It also has adjustable primary and secondary air regulation and a storage space for wood at the bottom.

The stove’s double-skin design offers a significant advantage over single-skin stoves, as it enables faster transfer of heat to the heated room through convection (airflow). Air is drawn in from the bottom of the stove and heated as it circulates between the combustion chamber and the outer shell of the stove, resulting in faster and more efficient heating of the room. The stove also has a fireclay unloaded fireplace and measures 56 x 38 cm with a height of 90 cm.
