The flat-plate solar water heating system, with a capacity of either 150 or 200 litres, is an ideal solar geyser for the average South African household.
This system features a highly efficient, durable flat-plate collector with a full 10-year warranty. The collector can be connected to an existing electrical geyser or a new geyser.
The flat-plate solar water heater is also available as either a direct or indirect solar geyser. In a direct system, water is circulated to the collector and heated directly. In an indirect system, a glycol mixture is heated and that heat is then transferred to the water in the geyser. Direct solar systems are more efficient, but indirect systems are useful in frost-prone areas.
Flat-plate solar geysers use a proven technology and tend to be more affordable than evacuated tube solar geysers.
Circulation is controlled by an advanced solar differential controller, which also manages a backup element in case of power cuts and various safety features.
