Benefits of portable air conditioners
A portable air conditioner is simply a small AC unit. It works in a similar way to any other air conditioner, drawing in hot air and moisture and venting it to the outside.
A portable air conditioner is light and usually includes wheels or castors, making it easy to move around. It plugs into a standard electrical socket.
Our mobile air conditioners need an exhaust vent. Most commonly, an exhaust hose is directed out a window. However, it’s also possible to vent a portable air conditioner into the floor or ceiling, an air duct, out a sliding glass door or even into another room. This means you can use a portable air conditioner to cool an indoor space even if there’s no window nearby.
Portable air conditioners handle collected moisture in different ways. You may need to empty a collection tank periodically, or there may be a drainage hose.
Other models include an evaporator that removes water automatically, without needing any action on your part.
